After one postponement, it looks like season two of Road to UFC has hit another setback.
The bantamweight final between Xiao Long and Lee Chang Ho, scheduled for February 3rd in Las Vegas, has been postponed, a source informed MMA Ecosystem. No date for the rescheduled bout was given, but the delay has to do with both the health and visa status on Xiao.
The other three finals will still take place after the conclusion of UFC Fight Night: Dolidze vs. Imavov, scheduled for 9:30pm PST at the UFC Apex. A broadcast platform in the US has not yet been announced for the fights, but previous rounds of the tournament have aired on UFC Fight Pass.
Season two of Road to UFC kicked off on May 27-28th, 2023, at the UFC Performance Institute in Shanghai, China. Thirty-two of the best fighters out of Asia fought in the quarter-final round of the tournament, the sixteen winners to Singapore for the semifinals on August 27th.
The finals were then scheduled for December 9th at a planned UFC event in Shanghai, but the event fell through a few weeks prior. The finals were then moved to February 3rd.
