Peter Danesoe is back in the winner's circle with an authoritative display of violence at M2MMA 2.
Live from Phuket, Thailand's Sinbi Boxing Stadium, M2MMA 2 featured three MMA and five Muay Thai bouts. The main event brought in Bangtao Muay Thai and MMA's Peter Danesoe (7-3) to face the Philippines Joemar Gallaza (5-3) at flyweight.
Despite Gallaza's status as a top Filipino prospect, he was no match for the offense of the Thai-Dane Danesoe. Launching a head kick right at the fight's opening, Gallaza responded with a spinning back kick to the side of Danesoe. Danesoe was one step ahead of him, however, dropping Gallaza with a counter left hook, mid-spin.
From there, Danesoe methodically worked towards the submission finish, pouncing on Gallaza and softening him up with punches on the ground. The wounded Gallaza then fell prey to a rear naked choke finish from Danesoe, tapping at just thirty-two seconds into the fight. With the win, Danesoe re-asserted himself as the top male MMA prospect from Thailand.
Danesoe was coming off back-to-back fights on the UFC's Road to UFC series, knocking out Sim Kai Xiong but falling to Nyamjargal Tumendemberel. At twenty-three years old, Danesoe has already acquired wins in several top global MMA promotions and trains at one of the hottest gyms in the world.
